In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
